What is the PLAIN System (P2) functionality?

  • Selection - PLAIN enables the creation of a vibrant, relevant, fully annotated, monthly list of titles from which to select. Member libraries have the flexibility to electronically suggest titles at any time. PLAIN has the added capacity to provide images and video clips with selection lists.

  • Acquisitions – All PLAIN orders and invoicing are electronic – very efficient in terms of speed and accuracy.

  • Cataloguing – The PLAIN software facilitates efficient and high quality cataloguing.

  • Distribution – PLAIN enables timely distribution of materials to member libraries across the state.

  • PLAIN also facilitates a cooperative network. In South Australia the PLAIN software provides  an inter-library loan network for public libraries.
