There are laws that allow members of the public to complain about certain offensive Internet content to the Australian Communications and Media Authority.

You can complain to the ACMA about:

  • material on the World Wide Web

  • postings to newsgroups

  • other stored information

You can't complain to the ACMA about:

  • ordinary email

  • chat services

  • voice over the Internet
